Why You Need Professional Support and Maintenance
While many WordPress website owners think they will keep up with software updates, this fails to happen. Website owners frequently get caught up with life, work, and publishing content. In doing so, they completely forget about keeping their website software updated and their data backed up.
WordPress is just like any software used on desktops, tablets, or phones. It needs to be regularly updated for functional and security updates. If users fail to do so, they open themselves up to broken functionality, malware, and Google warnings of security issues.
WordPress maintenance contracts are great for providing peace of mind and security for your website while also protecting your online marketing efforts.

* Personalized WordPress Support – Includes two-hours (or more if your retainer is upgraded) of client-directed support requests that may include activities such as:
- Theme design changes and tweaks
- Troubleshooting of WordPress or plugins
- One-on-one user training
- Content entry or updates
- Plugin investigation and recommendations
- Plugin installation and configuration
- Form creation and styling
- Google Analytics goal set up and tracking
- Newsletter setup and integration
- Website migrations
- SSL setup
- 301 redirect creation
Support requests are answered in the order in which we receive them. Average response times are 1-2 business days. Urgent/emergency requests (other than website downtime out of your control) requiring night or weekend work are not covered and are billed at x2 our hourly rate.
Upgraded Support Retainers: Additional discounted hours are available via a plan upgrade $100/hr in 5 hour increments can be added to the retainer and must be done 1 month in advance. Any overages are invoiced each week and billed at $150 per hour in quarter hour increments. If you wish to limit hours, let us know your maximum and we will stop work and seek approval at that point (not this can create significant delays in delivery times).
* The more plugins, code, and pages present, the more likely things are to break, become insecure, stop receiving support from developers, or conflict with other code present. Starting price ($250) is only recommended for smaller websites with 20 pages or less (not including a blog) and few advanced functions. We will tailor a quote to your needs for larger or more complex websites.
Monthly WordPress maintenance plans do not include:
- Server administration
- Programming or Database Work
- Custom App Development or Modifications
- Graphic Design
- Strategy or Consulting beyond WordPress Maintenance
- Marketing
- Content Creation
- Advanced tracking setups
- Software licenses (although we can buy them on your behalf and pass through cost with 15% markup – this also ensures renewals never get missed as we take care of it for you every year)
Freedom of Month-to-Month Services
Our WordPress support and maintenance retainers are month-to-month. We do not require any long-term commitments. We believe serving clients is a privilege and not a right, so we don’t lock you into a long-term contract.
Ad-Hoc / On Demand
We also offer hourly services for $165/hr for any WordPress tech needs you may have. These are prepaid in retainer blocks of 5, 10, 20 or 40 hour increments for new clients. For clients with positive payment history we can track and bill for time in arrears. Emergency requests needing immediate turnaround or night/weekend work are usually at a x2 rate (case by case assessment). The latter two are discounted to $130/hr). The hours then must be used within the next 12 months.

Security Monitoring – Hackers are trolling the web and constantly looking for websites and blogs that are vulnerable. Once found they’ll load malware and malicious code into your website and server, which can reroute traffic and produce warning notices in Google’s organic search.
We’ll monitor your website, scan for malware, and use brute force protection to better protect you.
Uptime Monitoring – We’ll actively monitor the website or blog’s uptime and take swift action should your site go down. We’ll notify you of any issues and we’ll help get it back up as soon as possible.
